Funds to increase working hours of a student assistant

Funds to increase the number of working hours of a student assistant for the purpose of supporting a research project, if due to pregnancy and maternity leave a scientific activity is not possible or only possible to a limited extent
The prerequisite is that the work cannot be taken over by persons financed by other institutions or from budgetary funds. (In view of the minimum duration of student assistant positions, it is necessary that the application is directed towards increasing an already existing assistant position).

Eligible to apply:
All HU faculty members who are pregnant or on maternity leave and who are unable to conduct their planned research/scholarly activities as a result.


Applications must include:

  • Completed application form (please attach as a cover sheet to the application).
  • Proof of maternity leave (maternity passport or birth certificate)
  • Confirmation of the necessity of the measure by the head of the institute or faculty or the supervisor

 

 


Applications should be sent by e-mail (please include all documents in one pdf file) to familienfonds@hu-berlin.de with the subject "Application for the Family Fund" by October 23, 2023 (cut-off deadline).

Applicants with impairments have the option of submitting their application in paper form. In this case, please contact familienfonds@hu-berlin.de.
