Grants for childcare/care of family members for participants of scientific events
Grants for childcare/care of family members for participants (professors, postdocs, doctoral students, employees in technology, service and administration as well as students) of scientific events or events for professional development.
Examples include: meetings, conferences, summer schools, workshops and congresses outside of the regular lecture schedule or events for professional development outside of core working hours, insofar as these are not covered by daycare/ after-school care and additional costs are incurred as a result.
A grant may be awarded for these purposes as long as the costs cannot be covered by other institutions (e.g., organizers, third-party funders, health insurance, aid, youth welfare office).
Eligible to apply:
Organizers of the respective event and all above-mentioned participants who require childcare/care services for relatives in the context of or due to events.
Applications must include:
- Completed application form (please attach as a cover sheet to the application).
- Proof of the planned event or planned attendance at an event
- Birth certificate of child(ren) or alternative proof/evidence of dependent(s) needing care
- Cost projection of planned child care/care.
